Hit me back, dog, pt. 3

Rob: Recently, I was expecting text messages from the same friend two days in a row, but didn't receive either one.
Rob: I began to worry.
Ned: What, he owes you money?

Rob: I thought he might have been in a fatal car accident. Or stabbed or shot in the street and left for dead.
Rob: The occasional solitary flake is understandable; everyone has a lapse in memory from time to time.
Rob: But given consecutive unexplained incidents, my imagination goes to work.

Ned: Yeah, yeah, everyone is an ass and bad friend from time to time.
Ned: I just don't get why those scenarios would worry you.
Ned: Either one would be better than the reality of your situation.

Rob: You'd rather have a good, reliable friend die young than a flakey friend that lives to flake again?
Ned: Everyone dies. At least in the former case I might remember them fondly.

"I was so scared something terrible happened to you!"

"Nah, I'm just a crap of a person."

People: Way Less Annoying When They're Dead.
