ASIMO the sneak
Honda developed a robot named ASIMO (Advanced Step in Innovative MObility). As you can see for yourself in videos on the Web, ASIMO can perform many movements like a human.
... more or less. This is all very impressive, but the first thing I took from the demonstration video was that ASIMO's speedwalking looks like (a) someone making a getaway, trying to move fast without a lot of noise, or (b) someone scooting along awkwardly in urgent need of a toilet. Add to that its childlike stature and the big pack on his back and you've got one suspicious-looking little dude. ASIMO, ya little rascal, what'd you do this time?
